What is the Rays of Hope Awards?
The Rays of Hope Awards are given to outstanding African-American men who have excelled in their professions, and who serve as role models to younger Black men and boys. Awards are given in categories such as education, business, and community. Rays of Hope is celebrating its 30th year of scholarship excellence.

How the Program Works

Each year at the Rays of Hope Awards and Scholarship Breakfast BPM showcases this program and present scholarships to
deserving African American Male students in front of their family, sponsors, and community.

Each scholarship winner along with their parents attends multiple college preparation sessions that teach networking skills, best practices for time and financial management, effective study habits,
and countless other tools to ensure a successful college career. Scholars have been accepted to colleges such as Harvard University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, North Carolina A&T, Dartmouth College, and Yale University.
